Mio, my 11-and-a-half-year-old Chihuahua, has been by my side throughout my entire career. I couldn’t be more thankful to God for blessing me with such a loyal companion. Whether it’s checking greens, mowing fairways, or riding along in the tractor, Mio is always ready to join the ride. Despite his small size, he’s fearless - chasing off geese and jackrabbits like a dog twice his size. On the days he can’t be with me on the course, he’s relaxing at home with my wonderful wife, Madyson.
I’m Gustavo Rodriguez, Golf Course Superintendent at The Links of North Dakota. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Turfgrass and Landscape Management from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. I’ve proudly served at The Links for four seasons, and in 2024, we completed a major irrigation renovation—with more exciting changes potentially on the horizon. Above all, I’m most looking forward to the next chapter: becoming a father and cherishing more time with my wife and our baby on the way.
