Mac is a 1-year-old Border Collie Mix. Mac started patrolling the Hyannisport Club property at only 8 weeks old. Mac’s title is “The Chief of the Geese Police”. Mac enjoys checking irrigation heads to ensure that they are operating properly and playing with the syringe hose while his Dad is tries to water greens. Mac’s owner, David Kennedy has been a first Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Hyannisport Club for the past 5 years. David is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Winter School for Turf Managers. David is an avid golfer and likes to do some fishing in his spare time.
Hyannisport Club is a private 18-hole Donald Ross designed seaside links overlooking Nantucket Sound located in the village of Hyannis Port on Cape Cod. Rich in American Golf History, Hyannisport Club was established in 1897 by resident John Reid, a founding father of the USGA. Hyannisport Club is recognized as a Certified Audubon Sanctuary Golf Course and is consistently ranked as one of the top golf courses in Massachusetts.
